We are Savannah Longsword Fencing Club, a Historical European Martial Arts group centered on teaching real, effective longsword fencing.
SLFC was established in 2014 and has been active, meeting, and competing for over a decade. Our HEMA club is located in Savannah, Georgia and we are led by founder and head coach Marshall Strong.
What We Offer
Weekly Instructor Led Classes
We offer regular group instruction, teaching real longsword fencing skills with an emphasis on effectiveness and practicality. Our approach is based on historical techniques pressure-tested in a modern, competitively centered setting.
Competition Opportunities
Members have the chance to test their abilities at inter-club, regional, national, and international tournaments. Our coaches are experienced fencers with competition success at the highest levels of historical fencing.
Affordable Martial Arts For All Ages
We offer both regular practice for all adults 17+ and youth classes for as young as 12, with personalized instruction and coaches dedicated to providing the best fencing and martial arts experience possible.
